Exploretrip takes your money and then changes the terms of the deal and may leave you with an unpaid balance on tickets. We were short close to $300 after Exploretrip left an unpaid balance on our tickets, and failed to include the carry-on luggage we'd paid for (on their site) at booking.


Terrible Customer Support

I am due credit from a cancelled flight from 2020 and have been trying for months now to get in touch and arrange a trip using it. The customer support has been abysmal and they don't reply to my emails or offer any assistance in trying to arrange a booking.

The worst experience ever with Exploretrip. This is my first and last time. I don't recommend this platform at all. the website didn't let me add bags and I had to do it in the airport. the cost was crazy expensive (unrealistic) $120 for just one bag. Second, They don't issue tickets just reservations and put you in stand by in all flights. I was with two little kids and they flights were oversold, so my trip was supposed to be at 3:45pm they send us at 8:45pm
Horrible service, treatment and experience. I sent an email and they responded that I have to call, I called and they are rude over the phone and blame the airline.

There is only one guy who answer the phone, I think he is from India!

I am on 2 elbow crutches

I am on 2 elbow crutches. I boarded the 28 to Douglas at 11.11am. The driver did not drop the entry floor and when I arrived at destination he again did not lower it. A drop of 6/7 inches is a big deal for someone with disabilities. Most drivers are very good when I get on, pity they are not all the same

Absolutely the worst experience ever

Absolutely the worst experience ever. Do not use. Update after their reply below : they're replies are generic. I booked via skyscanner link and they claim that my booking was not made thru skyscanner link. This website is a scam! Do not use!!!!!

Disappointed

They didn't notify me that my flight was canceled. I asked for a refund but they never respond for over 2 weeks and I had to call them again. But they were like "that's not our responsibility" and told me to call the airline. Unbelievable.. Please don't use this company!!! Don't waste your money.

Wrong (Not transparent) Charges

I was charged for seat selection which was showing $0 when I was selecting the seats. They didn't even show me the final amount that I will be charged before deducting the amount from my card. It seems like these guys are really not transparent in the way they are conducting the business.

Website and amount of emails need work

Not only have I gotten multiple emails of the same information but anytime I click on view my trip from those emails, it shows no trips.

Honestly, I almost didn't think I got the flights until I downloaded the airline app and saw that the flights showed up there. Not a well oiled website but got a good price for my flight at this time of year and relatively last minute.

now they are linked with unpub.com and they will offer you discount of 50$ but later on start sending emails to send them the copy of your credit card with your govt issued id card, which is very fishy, why someone need copy of your card front and back side. its clearly a trap. be care full.

You guys sent me an email saying my booking didnt go through because of a price hike, then tried offering me to pay $200 more for it, when i didnt show interest for it then you processed the original price. After i went somewhere else to buy another ticket. That is extremely wrong practice, that should cause me to report it to the better business bureau.

I could fly, that's good but I had a lot of stress during the process

I was a bit afraid that my tickets were a fraud/scam. They weren't, I could fly and I'm happy with the final outcome. However I must say that the customer service is not good and the booking confirmation has some things that don't work. Also, I had a problem with my middle name on my ticket (it was wrong), it was my fault and they charged me $125 to fix that. Finally, It wasn't fixed, I could fly anyway but they still charged that 125 extra.

Update: I was contacted by customer service and they reimbursed me $125. I'm satisfied now and I increased one star to my original evaluation.
